As Hip-Hop and R&B music enthusiasts patiently wait for the “BET AWARDS 11″ to air, Ford has kicked off a sweepstakes that will award one lucky viewer the keys to a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium as part of The BET AWARDS Ford Focus Sweepstakes. The sweepstakes, which kicked off late last week, ends at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, June 26, and incorporates the use of Twitter as part of the final qualification process.

ELECTRIC FORD FOCUS STARS ON "THE JAY LENO SHOW’S" GREEN CAR CHALLENGE

A battery-electric Ford Focus will appear tonight, Friday, Sept. 18 on “The Jay Leno Show” (NBC, Monday through Friday, 10-11 p.m. ET) in a segment they call “Green Car Challenge.” The battery-electric Ford Focus will be used throughout the first season of the show, driven by celebrity guests who accept the challenge.

2012 Ford Focus Electric priced

Sound Ford was excited earlier today to discover the price of the 2012 Ford Focus Electric. With lots of  math with plenty of factors involved the price comes to a total of $32,495. This can be raised however, as it costs extra for special colors like White Platinum for $495 and Blue Candy for $395, or leather seats for an extra $995.

The Electric is looking to have 123 HP with 181 pound-feet of torque. The motor receives its power from a 23 kwh lithium-ion battery with a single speed transmission. Charging the battery requires 18-20 hours in a standard outlet, or 3-4 hours in a 240v charger.

FOCUS RECOGNIZED BY KELLEY BLUE BOOK’S KBB.COM AS ONE OF ‘TOP TEN COOLEST NEW CARS UNDER $18,000’

Editors of Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com today named the 2008 Ford Focus one of the “Top Ten Coolest New Cars Under $18,000.” It is the fourth consecutive year that a Ford has been recognized with the honor and the fourth year that the Focus has made the list.

Coupling their passion for cars with the new 2008 Ford Focus SES was all a part of the daily grind for four of some of the hottest and most passionate car customizers in the country. On Saturday, April 26th, viewers will get a chance to be a part of the mayhem as the fourth season of “Car Wars with Funkmaster Flex” debuts. The reality show, which is hosted by Funkmaster Flex, chronicles the real life drama of four customizers competing in a seven-week race to customize a new 2008 Ford Focus SES.
